Mike Shepherd's 'Spirit of the Land' is an exhibition of classical
and contemporary fine art photography of Cumbria by Mike Shepherd,
landscape photographer and tutor, at Lancaster University.

The exhibition will show existing popular work, as well as launching
a new range of open and limited edition fine art work which represents
two years of study and work on the theme 'Spirit of the Land.'
The body of work is in monochrome, and encompasses black and
white and sepia toned work through a range of styles.
It was Henri Cartier-Bresson who said, I take pictures
to find myself and hope that I hit the bull's eye. 'Spirit
of the Land' represents some of the very few moments in my endeavors
where I hope I have 'hit the bull's eye.'! 'Spirit of the Land'
is for anyone who loves landscape and being in Cumbria, and for
other photographers at any level who are forever trying to 'hit
the bull's eye' in the search to capture that special moment
themselves.
