The gallery is just beneath
the ancient castle walls of Cockermouth
a bustling market town on the Northern fringe of the Lake District
with Crummock Water , Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake nearby.
Just behind the gallery is Jennings Brewery.
From the M6 the simplest approach
to Cockermouth is to follow the A66 signposted to Keswick and
Workington. Turn into town at the roundabout . Upon reaching
the Main Street, turn right and drive past the statue of Lord
Mayo and Percy House Gallery is on the left just over the bridge
over the River Cocker. The Market Place opens up on the right,
with parking down the side street on the right. The towns of
Whitehaven, and Keswick
are all within easy reach.
