Wendy Jones

Having been born into a family of painters in the Northeast, I eventually went on to train to be an art teacher in London. My paintings are diverse but always celebrate my love of colour - sometimes gentle, sometimes dramatic, but always deeply relevant to my subjects which include landscapes, seascapes, still life studies and decorative panels. My work is meant to engage the viewer on several levels; enjoyment of technical mastery as well as pleasure and emotional involvement which will endure. Full of life, they are not the kind of paintings to fade into the background!

I have exhibited widely in the Northeast, the Midlands and Yorkshire; my work has been sold to private collections in Britain and abroad including Russia, the United States and Europe. I have undertaken several private commissions.
