I have been coming to the Northern
Lakes for over four years and each time there
is always something new to see.
Earlier this year I caught all the vibrant spring colours of
the gorse and heather across the fells which lit up when the
sun hit.
I find the northern Lakes absolutely captivating and the added
bonus is the lack of 'tourist hoards' which can blight the Southern
Lakes; travelling around is quite a pleasure.
The pictures in this exhibition include not only scenes of the
lakes but also a whole variety of other places I have visited:
Ireland's wild Dingle peninsular, Connemara's rolling hills and
coast; Italy's Amalfi coast; The lovely Greek Island of Skopdos;
The small fishing village of Staithes, North Yorkshire.
Barry is a feature writer for 'The Artist' magazine and has produced

and Leisure Painter' magazines and

runs painting holidays throughout the UK and overseas.
